Microsoft's cheapest Windows 10 smartphone, Lumia 550 comes to India

Microsoft Lumia 550 was launched in India today, its the cheapest of the current crop of Windows 10 Mobile running phones, which includes the flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The Lumia 550 was launched in its dual-SIM avatar running on the entry-level quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage.

The Lumia 550 is an entry-level device through and through, but comes with an auto-focus 5MP rear and fixed-focus 2MP front-facing camera. Sadly, given the limitations of hardware, the Lumia 550 can only record at 720p with the rear camera.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS with aGPS support and FM Radio. There's also a 2100 mAh battery here. The Lumia 550 Dual-SIM will come in black and white colors priced at Rs. 9399 available starting December 23rd. There are far better options available at this price point including the Redmi 2, Meizu M2, Zenfone 2 Laser just to name a few.
