Nexus 5 appears on the Google Play Store for $349, is yanked minutes later

After months of being leaked, the Nexus 5 finally decided it was time to make an official appearance. Google Play Store played the host to the new Nexus 5, where it was listed for a short time, probably an error since you could not check its details or buy the smartphone. The Nexus 5 has been priced at $349 for the 16 GB variant, according to the listing. Google's listing for the smartphone reads, "Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways."

The official listing confirms the new UI elements of Android 4.4 KitKat which feature a transparent statusbar with white icons, apart from that white accents have been used throughout the UI instead of previously used blue ones and translucency is the keyword when it comes to the new design language. Google has however not announced a release date for Android 4.4 or the Nexus 5, but it seems October 28th might just be the right date.
