Apple's new 8GB iPhone 5c officially launched
Its no secret that the iPhone 5c was a dud considering Apple's as well as industry expectations. So the company is trying a new tactic, making the iPhone 5c cheaper by introducing a 8 gig version. The iPhone 5c is a far cry from previous-gen iPhones and comes with a glossy plastic build. The tech industry said that the "c" stood for cheap although for Apple it stood for colors.
The iPhone 5c has the specs of the iPhone 5 apart from the build and now runs iOS 7. The 8GB iPhone 5c has been priced 40 GBP less than the 16GB variant at £429 while the 16GB and 32GB variants still cost £469 and £549 respectively. At present though the new iPhone 5c is available only in the UK and there are no details as to when it will be available globally.
