ZTE Axon 7 Max with dual-cameras, 6-inch display, Snapdragon 625 launched in China
ZTE has launched its Axon 7 Max smartphone in China today. The main feature here are the dual rear cameras which are capable of capturing 3D images which can be viewed on the 6-inch 1080p display on the device.
Running on the inside we have the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with 8 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. There's 4GB RAM on the device with 64GB internal storage which is expandable with the microSD card slot. Everyday tasks are taken care by Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Coming back to those dual cameras, you have two 13MP cameras on the back with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens. One of them uses an RGB sensor while the other has a monochrome sensor to capture more details and contrast along with depth information. You also get a dual-LED flash at the back of the phone. Just below the main camera module, you have the round fingerprint sensor.
ZTE has gone with the same gold metal finish we saw on the Axon 7. Moving to the front you get a 13MP f/2.2 front-facing camera which uses a Sony sensor and has a beauty mode built in as well. Since Axon devices are known for their audio, the company has packed AK4962 audio codec for better sound reproduction with support for hi-fi along with Dolby Atmos for a better listening experience. All this is powered by the 4100 mAh battery on the device with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
ZTE Axon 7 Max has been priced at 2999 Yuan (Rs. 29600 or $442) and is now available on pre-order in China from JD.com, TMall and ZTE's own online portal. At present, there is no word when it will me making it outside the country.
