Xiaomi Black Shark 2 launching in India on May 27
Way back in March 2019, Xiaomi had announced the Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone in China. Now they are bringing it to India on May 27.
In addition to the smartphone, the Black Shark 2 is also expected to come with several accessories including the Gamepad 2.0 controller in India. However, Xiaomi has not confirmed if these accessories will be part of the standard package or sold separately.
Coming to the device, the Black Shark 2 comes with a 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with HDR support. It runs on Snapdragon 855 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256 GB non-expandable storage (UFS 2.1).
On the camera front, it has dual rear camera setup with a 48 MP primary camera and a 12 MP telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom. It features a 20 MP front facing camera with HDR mode for selfies.
There's an in-display fingerprint scanner, the back, hidden pressure sensitive controls for the display.
All this runs on a massive 4000 mAh battery which also supports 27W fast upgraded ‘X-style’ unique antenna design for better reception, RGB logo on charging You can top up the battery for 30 minutes of gaming with just 5 minutes of charging. A vapor chamber cooling system also helps to keep the phone cool by reducing the chipset temperature at 14°C lower. The device comes in 2 color variants black and silver.
The Black Shark 2 has been priced in China starting at 3199 yuan (US$ 476 / Rs. 32,710 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant and goes up to 4199 yuan (US$ 625 / Rs. 42,940 approx.) for the top-end 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant.
