Xiaomi 17 series to be launched on September 25th with Bigger Rear Screen and LEICA Cameras ; Expected Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC
Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of its latest flagship smartphones in the Xiaomi 17 series at an event in China on September 25th, after teasers and rumors. The lineup will include the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and the new Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
These will be the first smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which is set to debut later this week.
According to Xiaomi -
- Xiaomi 17 – the most powerful standard flagship in the company’s history
- Xiaomi 17 Pro – the most advanced compact flagship for imaging technology
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max – the most powerful flagship ever from Xiaomi
The Xiaomi 17 series is expected to bring massive batteries with fast charging support.
- Xiaomi 17: 7000mAh battery with 90W fast charging
- Xiaomi 17 Pro: 6300mAh battery with 100W fast charging
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: 7500mAh battery with 100W fast charging
All three models will also support wireless charging.
Xiaomi Group Chairman and CEO Lei Jun will deliver his sixth annual keynote during the event. With the theme “Change,” the speech will highlight the stories behind the Xiaomi XRING chip and Xiaomi Auto.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Series -
Alongside the smartphones, Xiaomi will also unveil the Xiaomi Pad 8 series, which includes the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro.
- Both models will feature an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and Soft Light Screen Edition options.
- They come with a unibody metal design.
- Pad 8: Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC
- Pad 8 Pro: Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, delivering an AnTuTu score of 3 million, a 69% performance boost over the previous generation.
- Both tablets will pack a 9200mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
