Xiaomi 15 Ultra Pre-Reservations Begin Globally Ahead of Official Launch late February
Xiaomi has begun pre-reservations for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in the Global market, which will succeed last year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra, ahead of its official announcement in China. Earlier today, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the phone will be unveiled later this month. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra was introduced on February 22nd last year, so the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is likely to debut around the same time. A global launch is expected during the first week of March at MWC 2025.
The teaser image features the phone’s box covered with a cloth, with “Powered by HyperOS” visible on the bottom section. A Geekbench AI benchmark listing for a device with model number Xiaomi 25010PN30G has surfaced, revealing that the phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 16GB of RAM, and Android 15.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 50MP 1/2.51″ Sony IMX858 sensor with a 70mm 3X telephoto camera that does not crop images. Additionally, its dual telephoto lenses are expected to support a telephoto macro function, along with a new photography handle kit.
Previous leaks suggest the phone will house a 50MP 23mm f/1.6x main camera with a 1″ LYT-900 sensor, a new 200MP 4.3X periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture using a 1/1.4″ Samsung HP9 sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a Samsung JN5 sensor. It is also expected to use Leica Summilux lenses.
The device is rumoured to include a significantly larger 6000mAh battery, compared to the 5300mAh battery in its predecessor. It may support 90W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless charging, and features a 2K quad-curved display similar to the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
