Samsung Galaxy F series Smartphone Appeared on Geekbench listing; Could launch later this February

Samsung has begun teasing the launch of its upcoming Galaxy F series smartphone in India via Flipkart. The teaser, which reads “Samsung got something FRESH on the way!”, does not reveal any further details. The Samsung Galaxy F06 (model number SM-E066B/DS) and Galaxy F16 (model number SM-E166P/DS) recently appeared on the Samsung India support page.

Additionally, the Galaxy F16 was spotted on the Geekbench listing last month, indicating an imminent launch in India. The listing confirms that the device will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and run Android 14 with One UI 6. These specifications closely match those of the Galaxy A16, which debuted in October.

For reference, the Galaxy A16 boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a notch, a triple-camera setup (50MP main + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro), a 13MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Galaxy F16 might even include a larger 6000mAh battery, similar to the Galaxy F15.

Will it receive the same six years of OS and security updates as the Galaxy A16? That remains to be seen. The official launch is expected later this February.
