Vivo X300 series design revealed with 7mm Slim body, bigger battery, and advanced imaging
Following the camera specification reveal, vivo’s product manager Han Boxiao shared details about the design of the X300 series. He highlighted that despite its powerful imaging capabilities and compact screen size, the device is exceptionally slim and smooth, offering a natural and comfortable feel in the hand.
He explained that this achievement was made possible through significant innovation and investment. Both the vivo X300 and X300 Pro measure just 7mm at their thinnest point, he confirmed.
For comparison, the previous generation X200 and X200 Pro measured 7.99mm and 8mm, respectively. This means Vivo has successfully reduced the thickness by nearly 1mm, while still equipping the new models with larger batteries and enhanced imaging systems.
Regarding the design, he said:
The X300 series utilizes a groundbreaking, ultra-thick, integrated cold-sculpting technology. The back cover cold-sculpting section is about twice as high as traditional cold-sculpting. The back cover glass used is over three times thicker than that of ordinary phones. Currently, only one company in China can manufacture this type of glass, and the processing time has increased several times.
So, despite the X300’s powerful camera, the section of the design above the cold-sculpted glass is only 1.28mm! That’s the height of the bump from ten years ago, right?
And the side profile is so beautiful because it’s so thin. Super imaging flagships like the X300 and even the X300 Pro are only 7mm thick at their thinnest! With such a slim body, coupled with such a comfortable design and natural edge transitions, you can imagine how it feels in your hand.
While I can’t say too much yet, let alone show you the color options, I can announce in advance that the X300 series represents our largest investment in design ever, and will be the best-looking and best-feeling X series ever!
