Vivo V5 Plus Specs and Images leak ahead of official launch in India
Vivo V5 Plus is scheduled to launch in India on January 23rd packing dual front cameras, and a metal body. Now, we have some more information about the specs of the device including some official images.
The Vivo V5 Plus is said to come with a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 pixels FHD AMOLED display with 401 PPI pixel density. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. To store all your images taken with those front cameras there's 64GB internal storage which is not expandable, then there's 4GB RAM on the device to aid multitasking. When it comes to selfies all bets are off with the Vivo V5 Plus, along with the 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 f/2.0 camera up front which we also saw on the V5 as well there is an additional 8-megapixel camera to help capture depth information. This will give you the option to change the depth of field as well as refocus on people in your selfies after they have been captured.
Even the rear camera is no slouch, it's a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and phase detect autofocus which is capable of capturing 4K UDH videos at 30 FPS. Moreover, you also get slow motion video capture at 120 FPS. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio and there's USB OTG available as well. Powering all this is a 3160 mAh battery which is non-removable.
The build of the phone is primary metal, with the front covered in 2.5D curved glass for protection and smoother touch response. The antenna bands have been pushed to the periphery similar to the iPhone 7 for a cleaner look. The Vivo V5 Plus was recently launched in Malaysia and there it was priced around $400, so even in India we can expect it to come at a price point of around Rs. 27000.
