This is the fireproof return package for the Galaxy Note 7
Samsung has officially killed the Galaxy Note 7, and it is taking the recall process very seriously as you should too. As the situation stands today, both the original and replacement units of the Galaxy Note 7 are at risk of catching fire, therefore the company is sending out pre-paid return packaging to get the Note 7 back from customers.
The packing itself it coated with thermally insulating ceramic fibre, which the company points may cause skin irritation therefore a pair of gloves are also included in the box. If you check out the video, there's a box inside a box, inside another box. You need to put the Note 7 first in the static shield sleeve, then put it in the OEM Box. Followed by another cardboard box and then the fire-insulated box with the white lining.
Samsung has put clear instructions with the box saying exactly what you need to do and that the Note 7 can only be shipped back through ground services as even with the fire retardant material it's not safe onboard a flight. The folks over at XDA-Developers have a quick video embedded below showing the contents of the box.
All carriers in the US are offering full refunds for the Galaxy Note 7 or you can choose a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge instead as well. You should immediately stop using the Note 7 and return it to the store it was purchased from.
