Our first look at the next Sony flagship Android smartphone, the Xperia XR
Thanks to @onLeaks we now have some press renders of the next Sony flagship which may be called the Xperia XR or Xperia X2. Earlier the smartphone had leaked as the F8331.
There are quite a number of design changes here, first is the slightly rounded back and front with the front glass melding into the metal frame of the device on both sides. You also have a USB Type-C port at the bottom and Sony hasn't removed the headphone jack which rests on the top of the phone.
The front is pure Sony design, with what seems like dual front-firing stereo speakers. The SIM tray can be seen on the left with the volume rocker and power button the right, which should double up as the fingerprint sensor. There is a separate camera shutter key as well.
The back of the phone is flat with no noticeable camera bump or antenna lines, something Sony has pioneered with the original Xperia Z series. There is not much information about the specs of the device, but it may be unveiled later in September at IFA 2016.
