Samsung has suspended Android 4.3 update for Galaxy SIII after various reported issues.
Samsung Galaxy SIII users had been waiting for over a year for an update to their smartphones to a new version of Android, and since Samsung decided to skip Android 4.2.2, the new update with Android 4.3 was going to be their salvation with Galaxy Gear support as well. But it wasn't to be, early adopters of the new update started complaining of issues due to poor multitasking and RAM Manager, which caused stuttering audio playback and making the Galaxy S3 practically unresponsive if you even tried working through even a few apps.
Samsung has acknowledged the issues with the new update and since then suspended the OTA update and removed the update from Kies as well:
As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility. We expect the issues to be resolved soon and finally the long wait of GS3 users will end with update to Android 4.3, hey you might even get a bump to Android 4.4 directly.
