Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini goes official with 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 4.5-inch HD display

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini was announced earlier today featuring a 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor running Android 4.4 KitKat. There's a 8 MP camera at the back with LED flash capable of recording 1080p videos and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera as well. The Galaxy S5 Mini also comes with IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. There's 1.5 GB RAM onboard with 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 64 GB with microSD card. The Galaxy S5 mini comes with a 2100 mAh battery.

The Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800H) also gets the Fingerprint Scanner from the Galaxy S5 and heart-rate monitor. It would be available in LTE as well as dual-SIM variants plus color options including Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Copper Gold and Electric Blue. The Galaxy S5 Mini will go on sale in Russia in July followed by the rest of the world for a global rollout. At present there is no word on pricing.
