Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra May Remove 10x Telephoto Camera, and Equipped with new 50MP telephoto camera

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series, scheduled for release in a few months, has been generating significant buzz. A well-known tipster, Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), has dropped hints indicating that the Galaxy S24 Ultra may come equipped with a 50MP telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom.

This addition joins the existing 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, which suggests a potential adjustment in zoom capabilities when compared to its predecessor.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will incorporate an HP2SX image sensor boasting impressive specifications, including a remarkable 200MP resolution, a sensor size of 1/1.3 inches, and pixel sizes measuring 0.6μm.

Moreover, the anticipated 50MP telephoto camera in the Galaxy S24 Ultra is likely to feature a 1/2.52-inch sensor and 0.7μm pixels for both 3x and 5x zoom, resembling the camera setup found on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It's worth mentioning that Xiaomi employs the identical sensor for a 3.2x optical zoom camera, potentially resulting in similar zoom capabilities.

Rumors suggest that the smartphone could feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display boasting a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a maximum brightness reaching 2500 nits. It is also likely to be equipped with a 5000mAh battery supporting both 45W wired fast charging and 25W wireless fast charging. Furthermore, there's a possibility that the device will incorporate two-way satellite emergency connectivity.
