Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Z Flip3, and Z Fold3 Getting One UI 6.1 update only with Circle to Search and Chat Assistant features
Samsung introduced One UI 6.1 along with Galaxy AI capabilities earlier this year with the Galaxy S24 series. Subsequently, it extended these features to the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. Last month, it announced plans to bring these features to the Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, and Tab S8 series in early May. The rollout has commenced for the Galaxy S22 series and other devices in the U.S. such as Galaxy Z Flip3, and Z Fold3.
Samsung clarified that the Galaxy S21 series will not receive the full suite of Galaxy AI features available on the S24, S23, and S22 series, but will be limited to Circle to Search with Google and Chat Assist features. Circle to Search with Google simplifies internet interactions through an intuitive gesture, enhancing user efficiency, while Chat Assist facilitates message translation into 13 languages.
These features are being delivered through a software update, which has already begun for the Galaxy S21 series in Europe, indicating a global rollout shortly.
Regarding this, Samsung US said -
Users of the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Flip3, and Galaxy Z Fold3 will gain access to Circle to Search with Google and Chat Assist features with the latest software update.
