Samsung Galaxy J7 Max relaunched as the Galaxy On Max in India, sans smart-glow notifications
Samsung has just relaunched the Galaxy J7 Max as Galaxy On Max. It packs the exact same specifications, the same 13MP cameras, and the same build as well. The only thing different on the Galaxy On Max is the lack of smart-glow notification around the rear camera.
The launch of an identical smartphone seems really strange. The Galaxy On Max costs Rs. 1000 less than the J7 Max, and that is the only difference really worth mentioning. Coming to specs, you have the same 5.7-inch 1080p display, but a slightly upgraded octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 Lite processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Max vs Galaxy On Max - What's the difference?
Samsung is calling the camera on the On Max as flagship, with a wide f/1.7 aperture lens, which again is same as the J7 Max. It is a good camera for outdoor shots but has issues with focusing in lower light and in artificial light. The front facing 13MP camera though does a really good job and the front flash also helps. The social camera features work well too, using which you can quickly send a photo to your friends right from the camera interface. You don't have to search for the images in your gallery, then share to the respective app, find the friend you want to share with and finally hit send. Instead, with Social Camera, you can pin your favorite contacts right on the camera interface and send them photos instantly. There are some AR effects and stickers as well, similar to Snapchat.
