Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 Android flip phone goes official with Snapdragon 425, 3.8-inch display
After what seems like months of leaks, unboxing images and what not, Samsung's latest flip phone has gone official in China. The Galaxy Folder 2 (SM-G1600) comes with a 3.8-inch WVGA (800x480 Pixels) display with quad-core Snapdragon 425 innards.
Just before you ask, why is Samsung launching a flip / clamshell phone in 2016, well, they are still quite popular in China and Japan. So lets carry on with the specs, there's 2GB RAM on offer and 16GB onboard storage as well which can be expanded with a microSD card slot. You can fire away with T9 input on the Galaxy Folder 2 with its numpad.
It will be offered in a silver color option you see above. Coming to cameras you have a 5MP front-facing f/1.9 aperture unit and an 8 megapixel rear camera also with f/1.9 aperture lens capable of recording 1080p videos. The speakerphone and LED flash are also present on the back of the phone. All this is powered by a 1950 mAh battery tucked inside the 15.54mm (when closed) thin shell weighing at 160 grams.
On the software front you have Android Marshmallow keeping the place tidy. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, Beidou. At present there is no information on pricing or availability.
