Samsung announces Galaxy Core with 4.3-inch display, dual-core processor and Android 4.1

    Samsung has announced a new mid-range device, the Galaxy Core to its line-up of the Galaxy series. The Galaxy Core features a 4.3-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running the scene. 

    Here are the complete specifications of the Galaxy Core:

    • Display: 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 pixels
    • Processor: 1.2 GHz dual-core
    • OS: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
    • Camera: 5MP Primary Auto Focus, 0.3MP front-facing 
    • Dimensions: 8.95 mm thick, 124 grams weight
    • Storage: 8GB internal, expandable via microSD, 1GB RAM
    • Connectivity: 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS
    • Battery: 1800mAh

    The Galaxy Core comes with Samsung's bevy of useful software features and Nature UX theme. There's Smart Stay, S Voice and Smart Alert onboard, where Smart Alert alerts you of missed calls and messages as soon as you pick up the phone. 

    The dual-sim variant of the Galaxy Core will be available later this month, while the Single-sim variant will be available in July. There is no word on pricing as yet.
