Samsung Galaxy S4 root exploit available for you to try

    Samsung Galaxy S4 Root Exploit

Root access is now available for your brand new Samsung Galaxy S4, courtesy XDA-Developers. The root exploit is intended for the Snapdragon equipped Galaxy S4 (I9505) and not the Exynos Octa version (I9500) which is being sold internationally.

Although you should be cautious while applying the exploit, as at present there is no recovery or stock images(ROM) availble for the Galaxy S4, so if you brick it it would just become a fancy and expensive paperweight. Furthermore, any OTA update will also remove the root access, and your warranty will be void.

So if you are still game, here are the steps:

    1. Extract the entire contents of the zip file, downloaded from Source link.
    2. If you are using Windows, ensure you have installed the latest Samsung USB drivers available for your phone.
    3. Ensure USB Debugging mode is enabled on your device.
    4. Connect your device to your PC via USB.
    5. If you are using Windows, navigate to the extracted directory and execute "run.bat". If you are using Linux or OS X, navigate to the extracted directory in a terminal and execute "./run.sh".
    6. Approve the ADB connection from your PC on your device.
