Reliance announces Jio Welcome Offer for all 4G smartphones with free unlimited data till December 31st, 2016
At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh Ambani also announced the public availability of the Jio 4G network.
The commercial rollout of Jio 4G for all begins on September 5th and as a Welcome Offer all of its services with unlimited data, voice and messages will be free till December 31st 2016. This means anyone with a 4G smartphone will be able to get a Jio 4G SIM irrespective of the brand, make of device. VoLTE is also required for making calls, you can use the Jio Join app.

Reliance will also be rolling out AADHAR based e-KYC for instant activation in just 5 minutes of you visiting a store. This is being started in Delhi and Mumbai today, and will be available throughout the country soon. With the Jio Welcome offer, the Mukesh Ambani also announced that Voice Calling will always be free for lifetime from Jio to all other networks for local and STD calls.
