REDMI Turbo 5 launched in India starting at Rs. 37,999 with 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8500-Ultra SoC, 7540mAh battery
Xiaomi has launched its latest smartphone in the Turbo lineup, the REDMI Turbo 5 in India, as promised. The device features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and M10 luminescent material technology, delivering up to 3500 nits peak brightness for enhanced outdoor visibility.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset built on a 4nm process, making it the first smartphone in India to feature this processor. Xiaomi claims the device can achieve an AnTuTu score exceeding 2 million points.
The processor is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, while a 5300mm² VC cooling system and 3D IceLoop thermal architecture help maintain sustained performance. The phone runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and is promised to receive four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.
The REDMI Turbo 5 adopts a premium design with a metal frame and glass back panel. It features slim bezels, rounded corners, and a balanced weight distribution for improved ergonomics. Durability is a key focus, with the phone carrying IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Xiaomi has also introduced the REDMI Pixel Matrix, a dynamic RGB lighting system integrated around the rear camera module.
Fueling the device is a massive 7540mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging, 27W wired reverse charging, and compatibility with the 100W PPS fast-charging standard.
