Redmi Pad 2 Teased Ahead of June 5 Launch with Bigger Display, Stylus Support, 4G Variant, and Large Battery
Xiaomi has begun teasing the arrival of the Redmi Pad 2, the successor to the original Redmi Pad launched 3 years ago. A teaser confirms a major reveal on June 5, accompanied by the tagline “Built for More,” hinting at a larger display and an enhanced battery.
Additional teasers suggest that the tablet is designed for an immersive multimedia experience, featuring a large battery, and will be lighter and more compact than a typical laptop. The promotional images also indicate stylus support, enhancing its productivity appeal.
The global teaser reveals the tablet in two color options, confirms an 8MP rear camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, and mentions that a 4G variant will be available. Another teaser for the Wi-Fi model showcases an additional Violet colour, alongside Mint Green and Grey.
According to European listings, the Redmi Pad 2 is expected to feature an 11-inch 2.5K display with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits brightness. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra SoC, and include a 5MP front camera, quad speakers, and a 9,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
Pricing details from the Europe list of the Wi-Fi variant (4GB + 128GB) at €199 (approx. USD 227 / ₹19,395), while the 4G model (8GB + 256GB) is listed at €299 (approx. USD 261 / ₹22,320).
The Redmi Pad 2 will be available via Amazon.in, Flipkart, mi.com, and offline retail stores after the launch. More details on the Indian launch are expected later this week.
