Rajeev Suri to be tapped as the next Global CEO of Nokia Corporation
Rajeev Suri, who currently heads Nokia's telecom equipment parallel is now one of the front-runners to head the Nokia Corporation once the sale of its devices and services division to Microsoft is complete. The announcement is expected right around Microsoft's Build conference in April 2014.
Nokia Corporation will be left with its telecom business, location based services as well as its advanced technology department. Suri, has a bachelor's degree from Mangalore University where Microsoft's current CEO Satya Nadella also finished his engineering.
Suri joined Nokia in 1995 and since then has been a part of the Nokia Solutions and Networks parallel as well. He has over 20 years of experience with acquisitions, mergers, sales and has lived in the Middle East, Asia, Africa as well as Europe.
