POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max launching in India on March 17 with Dimensity 8500 Ultra/ 9500s SoC

POCO has officially confirmed the launch of its latest smartphone, the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max 5G in global markets and India on March 17, following recent rumours and teaser campaigns. The teaser image reveals the X8 Pro in White and the X8 Pro Max in Black; both feature a metal frame and a dual rear camera setup.

POCO Global has also confirmed that the X8 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the X8 Pro Max will use the Dimensity 9500s, making them the first smartphones in India to debut with these chipsets.
According to earlier rumours, the POCO X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and a 20MP front camera. It may also come with an IP69K rating for improved durability and pack a 6500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging. The 6500mAh battery could be for the global variant, while the Indian version may feature a larger 7560mAh battery, similar to the REDMI Turbo 5.
Meanwhile, the POCO X8 Pro Max is rumoured to sport a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to include a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 20MP front camera, and an IP69K rating. The phone could be equipped with a 9000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, similar to the REDMI Turbo 5 Max.
Both smartphones will be available on Flipkart in India after the launch. We should know more details and the full specification of the phones in the coming days.
