POCO F8 Pro launched Globally with 6.59-inch 2K 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, IP68 ratings, 6210mAh battery
POCO has launched its latest smartphone in the F8 series, the POCO F8 Pro, at its global unveiling event in Indonesia, as promised. The smartphone features a 6.59-inch 2K AMOLED flat POCO HyperRGB display offering up to 3500 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, full-brightness DC dimming, a 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 12-bit color output with 68.7 billion colors.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The device includes LiquidCool Technology with POCO’s first 3D triple-layer IceLoop system. This structure increases the gap between the display and the liquid heat pipe (LHP) to reduce surface temperature, while positioning the LHP closer to the SoC for more efficient heat absorption and transfer. According to the company, this results in a 40% boost in maximum thermal capacity compared to the POCO F7 Pro, all within a more compact design.
The POCO F8 Pro is equipped with symmetrical dual 1115F ultra-linear speakers tuned by BOSE. Its triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP 1/1.55″ Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS and Xiaomi AISP 2.0, offering 13.2EV dynamic range, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 2.5x periscope telephoto lens that supports 10cm macro shots. The device also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The F8 Pro introduces POCO’s first one-piece milled glass design. The back panel is carved from a solid 2mm-thick glass block using CNC cold-carving, going through three carving stages and 41 individual processes. This forms a 1.3 mm⁶ decorative structure around the camera module, creating depth and a seamless flow into the rear panel.
The design also delivers POCO’s first glossy–matte finish on milled glass, combining a frosted back with a glossy rectangular camera deco for a more premium appearance. The device is powered by a 6210mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging, capable of fully charging the phone in just 37 minutes.
