The Pepsi phone is real. Pepsi P1 (or P1s) went official today in China with a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass running on MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core processor. It has an aluminium unibody design, and runs Android 5.1 based Dido OS 6.1 ...

There are two cameras here as well, 13MP at back and 5MP in front. The Pepsi P1 is a dual-SIM 4G LTE device with a hybrid 2nd slot to expand storage. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back just below the main camera module. Now before you start making fun of this phone, Pepsi is just licensing its brand name, they are not actually making the smartphone, that work is being done by the Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co., Ltd ...

Coming back to the Pepsi P1, it has a large 3000 mAh battery inside that shell and will be available through China's crowdfunding site jd.com. If you want to get your hands on an iconic smartphone, probably one of the very few with a Pepsi logo, this is your chance. Early Bird offer of CNY 499 is already gone, but you can still get the Pepsi P1s for CNY 699 (about Rs. 7300 or USD 110) with which you will get a protective case, charger and USB cable.
