OnePlus 3 Oxygen OS 3.2.0 update now rolling out with RAM Management fix, sRGB Screen mode [Update: Halted]

Oneplus 3 Oxygen Os 32 Update

OnePlus has started rolling out Oxygen OS 3.2.0 update for the OnePlus which fixes its RAM management, adds a sRGB mode for the display and brings in some camera fixes as well.

There has been a lot of talk surrounding poor memory management on the OnePlus 3 even though it has 6GB of RAM. The update fixes that allowing more apps to remain in memory. The next issue raised was about the display not adhering to sRGB standard meaning the colors looked a bit out of place and a bit oversaturated. Now, most people would not be bothered by it, but it was pointed out by several reviewers and hence there's now an sRGB mode for the Samsung made AMOLED display on the OnePlus 3 which needs to be enabled in Developer Settings.

Here's everything that is coming with Oxygen OS 3.2.0 for the OnePlus 3:

    • Enabled sRGB mode in developer options.
    • Improved RAM management.
    • Improved GPS performance.
    • Enhanced audio playback quality.
    • Updated custom icon packs.
    • Fixed some issues with notifications.
    • Improved camera quality/functionality.
    • Fixed some issues in Gallery.
    • Implemented latest Google security patches.
    • Fixed bugs in Clock/Music apps.

The update as we said earlier has begun rolling out and should reach all devices within 48 hours, according the company. If you have received the update, do you notice a change in battery-life as OnePlus had said that was the reason for aggressive memory management. We have yet to receive the update on our OnePlus 3 unit. We will update you with further developments.

Update: The Oxygen OS 3.2.0 OTA update for OnePlus 3 has been halted as there were some issues users were facing during installation. OnePlus added in a forum post:

Due to some reports of issues while upgrading, we are temporarily stopping the rollout to investigate. We will start back up as soon as possible.
