OnePlus 13T to Debut New Customizable Button, Launching in China Later this April
OnePlus has already announced plans to replace the traditional Alert Slider with a new customizable button in its upcoming smartphones. Today, Louis Jie, head of OnePlus China, confirmed that this new feature will make its debut in the upcoming OnePlus 13T, set to launch in China later this April.
According to Jie, the new button will not only allow users to switch between silent, vibrate, and ring modes but will also support additional customizable functions, enabling quick access to various operations. He emphasized its practicality, adding that more information will be shared soon.
Speaking about the design, Jie said that OnePlus conducted surveys among users who prefer smaller phones. Feedback revealed a preference for compact sizes and flat screens. The OnePlus 13T will adopt a pure flat-screen design with special attention to in-hand feel. He noted that early users have responded very positively to the device’s ergonomics.
Rumored specs suggest the OnePlus 13T will feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and ultra-slim bezels. It’s expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The device is also said to pack a large 6200mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. On the back, it will sport a bar-style dual-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens, notably omitting an ultra-wide camera. More details, including the exact launch date, are expected to be revealed soon.
