Nothing Headphone (1) launched in India for Rs. 21,999 with 40mm dynamic driver, up to 42dB hybrid ANC, LDAC, up to 80 playback
Nothing has officially launched its first pair of over-ear headphones, the Nothing Headphone (1) in India along with the Nothing phone (3). Staying true to the brand’s design language, the headphones feature a transparent aesthetic similar to Nothing’s other audio products and smartphones. They are equipped with 40mm dynamic drivers featuring high linearity suspension and an 8.9mm PU surround.
The headphones support hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 42dB, scanning the environment every 600 milliseconds to adapt in real time. Additionally, a dedicated wear-detection system monitors noise leakage between the ear cup and ear canal every 1,875 milliseconds. Features also include Transparency Mode, adaptive bass enhancement, spatial audio, and dynamic head tracking for an immersive 360° audio experience.
Developed in collaboration with KEF—a renowned name in high-fidelity sound with over 60 years of expertise—the Headphone (1) benefits from acoustically engineered drivers, chambers, and software. These components are tuned and tested in KEF's labs, with refinement applied to ANC, Transparency Mode, and Spatial Audio.
Nothing says the Headphone (1) has undergone over 50 durability tests, including drops, twists, sweat exposure, and extreme temperatures, to ensure long-term performance. The headphones carry an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. For controls, users can operate volume, media playback, and ANC modes using a combination of a roller, paddle, and button.
Powered by AI-based Clear Voice Technology, the headphones are trained on over 28 million real-world audio samples to isolate speech and minimize background noise. They support LDAC, USB-C audio, and include a 3.5mm jack. The device is also Hi-Res Wireless certified, offering 24-bit/96kHz audio precision.
Battery life is rated at up to 35 hours with ANC enabled and up to 80 hours with ANC turned off. A quick 5-minute charge provides up to 2.4 hours of playback with ANC on.
