Nokia Asha software update 1.4 brings MixRadio, parental control and more
Nokia has always said that Asha is an ever evolving platform, true to that statement Nokia has begun rolling out Asha Software Platform update 1.4 for the Nokia Asha 230, Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503. The update brings Nokia MixRadio to the Asha series alongwith voice guided self-portrait and panorama shot, parental control, new music app, new social sharing functions and a lot more.
Here's a complete list of new features in Asha Software Platform update v1.4:
- 7GB of free storage on OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive) to upload photos and stuff
- New Voice guided self-portrait and panorama modes in camera.
- Nokia MixRadio free music streaming service and new Music App (Not available in every region, also not available on the Asha 230)
- Social networking features in FastLane including Facebook likes and re-tweets alongwith Birthday reminders.
- Parental Control mode to limit Browser usage and app installations with specific code.
- New battery saver mode and Smart Dual SIM functionality
- Stability and Performance boost
You can just go into Settings->Phone update to check if the update is available or wait for the update notification.
