NextBit Robin fails bend test spectacularly
Nextbit Robin, the Android smartphone which offloads apps/data to the cloud when not in use was just tested by Youtuber, JerryRigEverything and it failed his bend test just like the Xiaomi Mi 5.
The phone actually snapped like a cracker and he noted that would be due to the plastic construction of the phone. There is no metal frame on the phone to provide a rigid back-bone and even the motherboard is screwed onto the plastic back of the device.
This would greatly reduce manufacturing expenses, at the cost of durability. The NextBit Robin is available in India priced at Rs. 19,999 and apart from a adding a geek quotient with cloud data offloading, there's nothing exciting about the phone.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 is a better option in this price segment. So what are your thoughts on this test? Would you buy a phone that splits in half with just a little force? Let's fight it out in comments.
