Motorola Expands AI Integration with Microsoft Copilot Vision on moto ai
Motorola has announced the integration of Microsoft Copilot Vision into its moto ai experience, marking an expansion of its collaboration with Microsoft. As part of this update, the Copilot app will come pre-installed on select new Motorola smartphones, offering users in the U.S. and other regions direct access to Microsoft’s AI tools.
Copilot Vision: AI-Powered Visual Interaction -
Copilot Vision allows users to interact with their environment using their device’s camera. By simply pointing the camera at objects or scenes, users can ask questions and receive real-time, AI-driven responses based on visual input. This feature is designed to enhance day-to-day tasks such as identifying objects, learning new skills, or solving problems on the go.
An example provided by Motorola shows how users can use the camera—front or rear—to analyze plant health. On foldable razr devices, the feature can even be used via the external display or tent mode, allowing convenient access without fully unfolding the phone.
Privacy and Access Controls -
Copilot Vision requires explicit user permission to activate, ensuring that the camera and microphone are never enabled automatically. Users also have the option to try out the feature without signing into a Microsoft Copilot account, giving them the freedom to explore before fully engaging with the service.
A Step Forward in On-Device AI -
This move is part of Motorola’s broader strategy to make AI tools more accessible by seamlessly embedding third-party AI capabilities within its devices. By incorporating Copilot Vision into moto ai, Motorola continues its push toward practical, intelligent on-device experiences.
Availability -
Copilot Vision will begin rolling out in the coming week to select Motorola devices in the U.S. and other regions, with the moto e series excluded from this rollout.
