Moto Z gets Android 7.0 Nougat Update in India with Google DayDream VR Support
Google's latest Android version, Android 7.0 Nougat is now hitting Moto Z users in India. Apart from split-screen multitasking, which would work great on the large 5.5-inch display, the Moto Z also gets Google's DayDream VR support.
According to one of our readers, the update was sent to his unit over-the-air. If you remember, the Moto Z is the first modular smartphone from the company with swappable mods which are attached to the back of the phone. The Mods include Bluetooth speaker, battery and style cases along with a camera mod with 10X optical zoom. Check Out: Moto Z Full Specifications and Image Gallery
The update is gradually being rolled out to a limited number of users, but if you are impatient you can always go into Settings > About phone and check for System update. Earlier this month Motorola also rolled out Android Nougat update for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India, however, it seems that the rollout was stopped as very few users received the update here.
Next in line to get Nougat update is last years' Moto X series and then the Moto Z Play followed by Moto M. Some of the notable omissions from this list are the Moto E3 Power and the popular Moto G3 which runs on similar hardware as the Moto G4 Play (eligible for Nougat Update.)
