Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Laptop Copilot+ PCs for Business launched Global with Intel Core Ultra processors
Microsoft announced on Thursday updates to its Surface for Business Copilot+ PC lineup, unveiling new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors.
Surface Laptop for Business -
The latest Surface Laptop for Business features a slim, modern design and runs on Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, delivering up to 22 hours of battery life. Available in 13.8-inch and 15-inch sizes, it boasts an anti-reflective display with ultra-thin bezels, Wi-Fi 7 support, and multiple ports, including an optional smart card reader.
In terms of performance, it offers up to 26% faster multitasking than the Surface Laptop 5, along with up to twice the graphics power and three times the battery life during Teams calls. Additionally, it leverages AI-driven capabilities via its built-in NPU.
The keyboard is designed for comfortable and efficient typing, while the large precision haptic touchpad provides realistic feedback. Prioritizing sustainability, the device integrates recycled materials, including 100% recycled rare earth metals in its magnets and the first battery cell made entirely from recycled cobalt.

The Surface Pro for Business now boasts a 13-inch PixelSense display featuring anti-reflective and adaptive colour technology, reducing reflections by up to 50%. An optional OLED display offers enhanced brightness and color accuracy. Powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2), the device delivers up to 28% better performance and a 98% boost in graphics capabilities compared to the Surface Pro 9. It also doubles battery life during team calls.
The device is versatile, functioning as both a tablet and a laptop with the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard, which can be used either attached or wirelessly. It supports secure sign-ins via facial recognition through Windows Hello Camera or NFC security keys, making it suitable for healthcare workflows with Imprivata EAM certification.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the Surface Pro for Business features 89% recycled content in its enclosure, including 100% recycled aluminum and rare earth metals. It is also designed for easy servicing, with replaceable components such as the motherboard and SSD.

Along with the new models, Microsoft revealed the upcoming Surface Laptop 5G, set to launch later in 2025. This will mark the first Surface Laptop with cellular connectivity, with further details to be announced soon.
Security and AI Features -
Microsoft highlighted that Copilot+ PCs are built with security as a primary focus. The Microsoft Pluton security processor, enabled by default, ensures the protection of sensitive data such as passwords and encryption keys. Windows 11, in combination with Microsoft 365, delivers advanced security tools to help defend against phishing, malware, and ransomware.
AI-driven features boost productivity, including an enhanced Windows Search experience that lets users find files using related words or phrases.
The Surface Management Portal in Microsoft Intune provides IT administrators with effective tools to monitor and manage devices. Starting February 24, 2025, the Security Copilot feature will enter public preview, offering generative AI capabilities to streamline device management.
