Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 now available for Rs. 19990, featuring 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM
Micromax Canvas Turbo, the company's latest flagship is now available at Micromax EStore for Rs. 19990 in mid-night blue or pristine white color. The A250 features a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display and runs on a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor with 2 GB RAM. Graphics are power by PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU which has been overclocked on this chipset. Apart from that you have a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5 MP secondary camera for video calls.
The Canvas Turbo A250 has 16 GB of inbuilt storage which is not expandable, therefore you are left with 12.47 GB for user data and 0.98 GB for app installation. There are several new software features including popup browser and video, alongwith iFloat an app that allows you to access key features of your phone with a single tap on a persistent icon. The Canvas Turbo also features Smart Gestures similar to the Canvas 4 which allow you to answer a call by bringing the phone to your ear, flip phone over to disable ringing on call, during call turn speakerphone on by flipping it over among others.
All in all its a safe bet, albeit a bit pricey since you can pretty much get the same specs apart from the 1080p dislay from the XOLO Q1000S which is quite thin at 6.98 mm, while the Canvas Turbo is 8.66 mm thick. Both have aluminium construction and 13 MP cameras, but the XOLO Q1000S is available for Rs. 16999 while the Canvas Turbo A250 is available for Rs. 19990. Does the full-HD display deserve a premium, even though it will be a battery and performance hog? Its up to you to decide.
