LG Optimus GK with 5-inch full-HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor announced

LG has announced the new Optimus GK with 5-inch full-HD(1080p) display in Korea. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Its practically the same as the LG Optimus G Pro in terms of functionality but will a smaller body and 5-inch display.

Here are the specs of the LG Optimus GK:

• Display: 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display, 440 PPI
• OS: Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)
• Processor: 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, Adreno 320 GPU
• Camera: Primary 13 MP rear camera with LED Flash, Secondary 2.1 MP front-facing camera
• Connectivity: WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, SlimPort and NFC
• Network: 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+
• Storage: 16GB internal memory expandable via MicroSD, 2GB RAM
• Battery: 3,100 mAh battery

The LG Optimus GK will be available in two colors, namely the Platinum White and Indigo Black. The phone will go on sale in Korea beginning May 2013. At present, there is no word on pricing or international availability.
