Nexus 5X handled before launch event
If the leaks, press renders and specs weren't enough. We now have a hands-on video of the Nexus 5X which is expected to launch is a few hours from now at a Google Event in San Francisco.
The device being handled is a prototype but gives us an idea about the design and to an extent the features we are expecting. First of all you can see the protruding camera at the back which is expected to house a 13MP sensor, with dual-LED flash and laser-autofocus sensor to its left. Then you have the Fingerprint sensor just below it alongwith the Nexus badge. You can watch the hands-on below.
The LG Nexus 5X will feature dual front-firing speakers, something in common with another nexus device launching tonight, the Nexus 6P from Huawei. You can also see the USB Type-C port at the bottom while the SIM card tray has been moved to the left. Other specs that we have been hearing of late suggest that the LG Nexus 5X will run on Snapdragon 808 octa-core processor but with just 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage although larger storage options may be available.
A 2700 mAh battery is supposed to keep the new Nexus running and prices are expected to start at $379.99 (about Rs. 24,700) for the 16GB variant. We'll know more at tonight's launch event which kick-starts at 9:30PM IST.
