HTC re-introduces One M9+ with 21MP camera, Laser AutoFocus, 5.2-inch Quad-HD Display

HTC One M9 Plus Aurora Edition

HTC today re-introduced the One M9+ which was launched earlier in India back in April. The company says, the new One M9+ Aurora Edition comes with an improved 20.7MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture lens, laser autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Phase Detection AutoFocus has been added to further improve AF timing. HTC has still retained the 4MP UltraPixel camera but in the front.

The secondary depth sensing camera has been replaced by the laser autofocus sensor. Apart from this change there is nothing different from the previous One M9+. It still runs on the MediaTek Helio x10 MT6795T 2.2GHz octa-core processor with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage which is expandable upto 2TB.

The HTC One M9+ still carries the same unibody metal construction with a non-removable 2840 mAh battery tucked inside the 9.61mm thin frame weighing in at 168 grams. It runs on Android Lollipop with Sense 7 on top.

The One M9+ Aurora Edition will be available in Gold, Silver, Black and Grey color when it goes on sale in Taiwan starting October 15th. It has been priced at NT$ 20,900 (about $630 or Rs. 41,700.) At present there is no word on a global rollout.
