Lenovo P2 with 5100 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor launching in India soon (Update: 11 January)
Update: The Lenovo P2 is launching in India on January 11, 2017, and it is going to be a Flipkart exclusive. The phone packs a massive battery inside a metal shell running on the very power-efficient Snapdragon 625. This may just be the most affordable SD625 device in India expected to be priced under Rs. 15000. Lenovo's new powerhouse is meant to compete with the Redmi Note 4X which is also expected to launch later this month packing a huge battery and possibly running on the more powerful Snapdragon 653. Lenovo P2 is set to launch in India soon. The phone was first unveiled at IFA 2016 where the company showed off the massive 5100 mAh battery which is said to offer 78 hours of talk time. Lenovo has begun teasing the smartphone on twitter saying that "#LenovoP2 #Powerhouse coming soon." Read More: Lenovo P2 Full Specifications and Image Gallery
However, there is no word on a launch date yet. This would be Lenovo's first launch of 2017 in India and the company has been very aggressive with its pricing of late. Even the recently launched Moto M was priced lower in India. Now, coming back to the Lenovo P2, to charge that huge battery you also get fast charging support and the company says a 15-minute charge is enough to last your 10 hours.
