LeEco Le 2 now available with 64GB storage priced at Rs. 13999
LeEco Le 2 did end up on our recommended smartphones list under Rs. 15,000 especially after issues with its creaking display were fixed in later units. The Le 2 performed well in all our tests and apart from no headphone jack, and a lackluster battery life it's still an option worth considering especially now that we have a 64GB storage variant exclusive to Snapdeal in India. The LeEco Le 2 was originally sold with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage in India priced at Rs. 11,999 with Snapdragon 652 innards and a 5.5-inch full-HD display. So, apart from the added storage capacity the "new" Le 2 is no different. It still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow at its core with EUI on top and will possibly get a Nougat update sometime this year.
With a lot of post-launch updates, the camera on the phone started to bear well in all lighting conditions without the pinkish hue we saw in earlier models. The one thing that may irk you is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack where the company instead opted for a completely digital interface called Continual Digital Lossless Audio or CDLA for short which routes audio through the USB Type-C port on the phone. But you do get an adapter within the box to use with older headsets.
Coming back to the Le 2, it's now available on Snapdeal for Rs. 13,999 with 64 GB storage. At present, only the rose gold color option is on offer. If you were planning to buy the Le 2, the extra Rs. 2000, in my opinion, is worth for getting double the storage, especially as there is no microSD card slot on this phone.
