Lava Iris X8 goes official with octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM for Rs. 8999
Lava Iris X8 has finally gone official featuring excellent specs for Rs. 8999. You are getting a 5-inch HD IPS display (Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection) and its powered by the 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage running Android 4.4 KitKat, which is upgradable to Lollipop.
The Iris X8 is a dual-SIM 3G smartphone and comes with a 8 MP rear camera with BSI 3 sensor as well as a 3 MP front camera. Its 8.6mm thick and weighs in at 160 grams.
A 2500 mAh battery keeps the lights on. The Lava Iris X8 will be available in Black and White colors from Flipkart for Rs. 8999 starting 12 PM on February 9th. There's a bundled Flip cover as well which lets you access your camera, music and messaging without opening the cover. It will be available through retail outlets as well but Flipkart gets exclusive rights online.
