iQOO 12 Pro and iQOO 12 launched with 6.78-inch up to 2K 144Hz E7 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, IP68 ratings

iQOO has officially launched its latest flagship smartphones the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro in China, as they promised. These phones have a 6.78-inch screen where iQOO 12 has a flat 1.5K OLED screen with 2160Hz PWM dimming, and the 12 Pro has a Quad HD+ Samsung E7 AMOLED curved screen with 1440Hz PWM dimming. Both devices boast a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits and a variable refresh rate of 144Hz featuring LTPO technology.

iQOO proudly mentions that these devices are equipped with the most powerful ultra-wide vibration motor and symmetrical three-dimensional dual speakers. Both phones run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with a new Q1 Self-developed chip, have up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and are based on Android 14 with OriginOS 4.0 (China) / Funtouch OS 14 (Global).

The phones introduce a frame-sensing technology that enables real-time load monitoring, precise scheduling, and distribution, as well as the allocation of large, medium, and small cores for game threads with diverse load demands. iQOO asserts that even after an hour of gaming in ultra-high definition, the maximum temperature reached is a mere 40.5°C.

By activating the VAPT Adaptive Mode with a single click, users can manage power consumption and enjoy a more stable frame-rate experience. Additionally, the phones feature an aviation aluminum middle frame, the largest 6K ultra-large VC vapor chamber in iQOO's history, and 11 temperature sensors for real-time monitoring of temperature changes throughout the device, ensuring efficient performance scheduling and excellent heat dissipation.

Equipped with a 50MP 1/1.3-inch primary rear camera along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera, the devices offer a Handheld starry sky mode and a light-tracing main camera, enhanced with AIPD extreme night focusing technology that can swiftly capture stars in the darkest of environments. With second-generation OIS anti-shake technology, achieving a CIPA 4.5 level, as well as the utilization of a multi-frame fusion algorithm and a bionic night sky algorithm, the phones can capture stunning night sky shots within seconds.

The new "Super Graphite Battery" adopts negative electrode graphite reconstruction technology along with multiple electrode plate cold pressing technology, enhancing energy density and bolstering discharge capacity. Both phones house a 5000mAh battery, supporting 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

The iQOO 12 and 12 Pro come in Legend Edition in White with the BMW logo, Track Edition in black, both with a glass back, and Red Edition with a leather-like finish on the back. These phones will be available from  November 24th in China and the pre-order has started from November 14th.
