Apple iPhone 7 catches fire and burns a car in Australia
We have been hearing a lot about Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but its the first time we are hearing about the iPhone 7 catching fire.
According to Mat Jones from Australia, he had left his week old iPhone 7 is his car under some clothes while he went surfing. When he returned he found his car filled with smoke and the pile of clothes under which he had put the iPhone on fire. His car was completely scorched from the inside.
He added that the iPhone wasn't dropped and he didn't use any other charger with it either. Jones was pretty sure that the iPhone 7 was the source of the fire.
Apple commented that they are aware of the incident and will investigate further. At this point of time, there is no word on any compensation or even a new phone that has been given to Jones. Now, this is just a single incident and we should not be worried since Apple is already on the case.
