HTC One M8 Developer and Google Play Editions up for pre-order

HTC One M8 was just launched a bit back and now we have confirmation that the developer and Google Play Editions are already available on pre-order. The Google Play Edition of the HTC One M8 will ditch the Sense 6.0 UI in favor of stock Android KitKat for faster upgrades and cost $699 and will be available through the US Google Play Store starting today.

The Developer Edition of the HTC One M8 has been priced at $649 and will come with an unlocked bootloader but still running Sense UI 6.0. That's $50 less than the Google Play Edition, and it would be beneficial to get the Developer Edition as you can quite easily flash a GPE ROM on an unlocked device. Both devices are identical in everyway apart from the software. The Developer Edition will be available from HTC's website.
