HONOR Magic V5 launched Globally with 7.95-inch 120Hz foldable OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, IP58 + IP59 ratings
HONOR has launched its latest flagship foldable, the HONOR Magic V5 in the global markets, following its earlier announcement. The new device builds on the Magic V3’s legacy with upgrades in design, durability, AI features, battery, and imaging capabilities.
The Ivory White variant stands out as the slimmest in its class, measuring 8.8mm when folded and 4.1mm when unfolded, with a lightweight build of 217g. It sports a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.43-inch outer screen, both compatible with stylus input. Thanks to Multi-Flex mode, users can multitask with up to three apps simultaneously.
Both screens support HDR Vivid, Dolby Vision, and ZREAL, reaching up to 5000 nits peak brightness. For eye comfort, they feature 4320Hz PWM dimming, motion relief, natural light adjustment, and LTPO-based low-power eye protection.
Running on MagicOS 9.0, the Magic V5 integrates Google Gemini with a quick double-tap shortcut, along with AI-powered HONOR Notes, real-time transcription and translation, plus creative tools like AI Image-to-Video and AI Cutout. Its Super Steel Hinge, rated to withstand over 500,000 folds, boasts a tensile strength of 2300 MPa, exceeding that of steel.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. It features the AI Falcon Camera System, which includes a 64MP Ultra-Sensing Periscope Telephoto, a 50MP Main camera, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide camera. Enhanced by the AI HONOR Image Engine, it supports advanced tools such as AI Enhanced Portrait, AI Super Zoom, and Motion Sensing Capture.
The Magic V5 houses a 5820mAh silicon-carbon battery and comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings. Durability is further reinforced by an Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield and a Carbon Fiber Reinforced Inner Display Panel, ensuring resilience for everyday use.
