HONOR Magic8 and Magic8 Pro launched with 6.58/6.71-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, 200MP telephoto camera
HONOR has launched its latest flagship smartphones, the HONOR Magic8 and Magic8 Pro at an event in China, as promised. The HONOR Magic8 Pro features a 6.71-inch 1.5K quad-curved LTPO OLED display, while the standard Magic8 has a 6.58-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED screen.
Both support a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, deliver up to 1800 nits global peak brightness and 6000 nits local peak brightness, and offer 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for reduced eye strain. The displays are protected by HONOR Rhino Glass and come with circularly polarized light eye protection.
Both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM, and achieve an impressive 4.28 million score on AnTuTu 11. They run Magic UI 10, which introduces advanced cross-platform and cross-device connectivity across Android, HarmonyOS, iOS, and Windows, enabling seamless file sharing, task syncing, and continuity across devices.
The devices come with the HONOR AI Agent, capable of automatically performing tasks across over 3,000 scenarios. The YOYO Agent activates contextually to automate operations, and an AI button allows users to identify food nutritional content with a single tap.
In terms of imaging, the HONOR Magic8 Pro boasts a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera with a large 1/1.4″ sensor, f/2.6 aperture, and AI Adaptive Stabilization Model, achieving CIPA 5.5-level stabilization—the highest in the industry, according to HONOR. It’s accompanied by a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front camera.
The series debuts Magic Color, an AI-driven color engine that uses deep learning to intelligently extract and reproduce 16.77 million colors. Through device-cloud collaborative color migration technology, it ensures accurate color tracking, detailed tuning, and real-time high-quality previews.
Both phones come with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for enhanced dust and water resistance. Powering the Magic8 Pro is a 7200mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging, while the standard Magic8 features a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support.
