Google Pixel C goes official with 10.2-inch display ready to take on the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 3
Google today announced a newcomer to its tablet family, the Pixel C with 10.2-inch display running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The new Pixel C has a 10.2-inch (2560x1800 pixels) display running on the NVIDIA Tegra X1 SoC with 3GB RAM and a choice of either 32GB/64GB storage. Android 6.0 Marshmallow takes care of everyday tasks. The Pixel C comes with a keyboard which attaches magnetically. It connects via Bluetooth and charges via the tablet itself, when the lid is closed onto the Keyboard via inductive wireless charging. The Keyboard is sold separately at $149.
The tablet features dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth and USB Type C port but there is no word on whether there will be an LTE variant in the future. The Google Pixel C starts at $499 (about Rs. 32900) for the 32GB model and $599 (about Rs. 39,500) for the 64GB model with the Keyboard coming in at $149 (about Rs. 9,800) . It will be available in the holidays, but Google did not specify a date.
