Google Pixel 9a Launched in India at Rs.49,999 with 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, Tensor G4 SoC, IP68 ratings
Google has officially launched its latest smartphone, the Google Pixel 9a, in India, as expected. The device features a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 2700 nits—35% brighter than the Pixel 8a. It runs on the Google Tensor G4 SoC and is equipped with a Titan M2 security chip. The phone runs on Android 15 and is guaranteed seven years of software updates, including security patches and Android OS upgrades.
For photography, the Pixel 9a is equipped with a 48MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP front camera, all supporting 4K video recording. It also includes features like Add Me, Best Take, Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Audio Magic Eraser, Night Sight, Astrophotography, and the new Panorama with Night Sight.
It showcases a premium design with rounded edges, a matte back, and a polished aluminum frame. Notably, it eliminates the camera bump and now boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an upgrade from the Pixel 8a’s IP67 rating. The device houses a larger 5100mAh battery, an upgrade from the 4492mAh battery in the 8a, and supports 23W fast charging along with 7.5W wireless charging.
