Google sets event for new Android release on July 24
Google has set the date for the next version of Android on July 24 at 19:00 hrs GMT in San Francisco. The event invite simply reads "Please join us for breakfast with Sundar Pichai."
Sundar Pichai is currently the VP of Chrome and Android, and is probably going to unveil Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, since Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is expected to be released at the next Google I/O. Although the new Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 and HTC One have been rocking the new build for quite some time, there aren't many changes apart from the camera app. It seems Android 4.3 has something more up its sleeve, which only Pichai knows about.
The Second generation Nexus 7 tablet may also be announced at the June 24 event, it may pack a full-HD 7" display and Snapdragon 600 SoC. While there is no hope of Android Key Lime Pie making an appearance, I, like many others have started getting sick of Jelly Beans. Let's hope we see some cool new features in Android 4.3 atleast.
